Making the quality of a decision visible before it becomes costly.
Discernia is the final facet of leadership development: the place where capability stops being declared and starts being observed.
Evidence, not impression
What a person does when facing a real case — with trade-offs, time pressure and pushback — is worth more than what they say about themselves. That is why observed practice is our central instrument: in the AI-Ready programs, simulated board and committee meetings; in Beatriz, tasks at real work and checkpoints; in GolfEvo, the swing recorded on the range. In all of them, the same piece measures and develops.
- Criteria declared before application — never inferred afterward
- Observed behavior, described in anchors
- Real trade-offs: cases built with no optimal answer
Auditable trail
Every piece of feedback can be traced back to what was observed. No conclusion without the behavior that supports it; no number without its source.
Declared rigor
We use evidence-centered design and the critical incident technique. We declare the limitations: what we measure, what we do not measure and what is still under validation.
The sobriety rule
The brand never promises a prediction of future performance, nor a psychological diagnosis, nor a rating that replaces human decision.
| We measure | We don't measure |
|---|---|
| What the person did when facing the case | Who the person is |
| Decision, argument and leadership under pushback | Personality traits or a “profile” |
| What stayed after the AI left the picture | Future performance |
| Progress against one's own baseline | Comparison with peers as a verdict |
LUMEN is the standard we use to measure what stays when the AI is switched off: retention, transfer and autonomy, with the AI removed and a time interval between practice and test.
The standard is published openly and belongs to no system it evaluates — including our own. Its current status is that of a proposed brake and a call for validation: we invite refutation.
◆ Measured by the LUMEN standardRetention
What the person can still do after an interval — not on the same day.
Transfer
Whether they apply what they learned to a case different from the one they practiced on.
Autonomy
Whether they do it without the AI at their side — and know when to call it back.
